Hi all,

 

I thought I had posted this question last week, but I can't find it, so I guess it is floating round in cyber space somewhere!!

 

All of a sudden the icon buttons on the Individual Information screen have disappeared. When I click to go into that screen, I see them flash and then disappear, and all that is left is the temple icon. To add sources for any of the information I enter, I either have to return to the family view and use those icons, or click on the temple and then access the sources button from that screen.

 

I am not aware of having done anything to bring about this change, and despite looking I can't seem to find anything to click to bring them back.  Help, please!!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your software? How frustrating that problem is!
That hadn't occurred to me! I'll give it a try. Thanks
Give it a whirl and let me know. It might be that your file got corrupted somehow. Make sure you have backups of your tree/s. Good luck!
M Denise, try this just to make sure. Often my problems are fixed this way. Go to File, then click on File Maintenance, click on Check/Repair. It usually fixes my glitches.
Thanks for the tip, Ellen. I tried it, but it didn't work. Someone doesn't like me, they just want me to have to work harder! There must be an answer out there somewhere.
I've reinstalled Legacy, but I'm still missing the icons. I can't find any obvious corruption in the files. I can still enter the sources, but it is more time consuming, and above all else, just plain annoying and frustrating!!!

Sorry to hear you are still having issues despite reinstalling Legacy. I would suggest you contact Legacy by doing one of the following:

Sending e-mail to Support@LegacyFamilyTree.com. Be sure to include your name, customer number, product version, operating system (Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, Me, XP), type of computer, amount of memory and a complete, detailed explanation of the problem or question.

Sending a fax to us at 1-425-940-1610. Be sure to include the same information as above.

Sending a letter to: Millennia Technical Support, PO Box 9410, Surprise, AZ 85374, USA. Again, be sure to include all necessary information.

Calling Millennia Technical Support at 1-425-788-0932. Our business hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific time, Monday through Friday. Please try to be at your computer.

Also, what version of Legacy are you presently using?
