I am having a problem using Legacy Charting in that I can not create a report that has a page size greater that 11 inches in height.  When I do a chart that has 4 generations my report size is 11 inches by 187 inches.  If I increase the number of generations to 5 then the report size is 11 inches by 238 inches which exceeds the maximum width of 200 inches for PDF file creation.

I thought the fix to this would be quite simple in that I would just set a custom paper size that was greater than 11 inches in height.  However, this does not seem to be possible and I am not entirely sure whether this a limitation of my printer or the Legacy Charting software.

It would be very helpful to be able to size report with a depth greater than 11 inches as office supply firms can produce reports on paper stock as wife as 36 inches.

Thank you Michael your instructions worked just as you described and yes I was printing a descendant chart.

However, What I wanted to accomplish by printed the chart two pages high was to reduce the width of the report so that I could fit a greater number of generations within the 200 inch PDF maximum page width. Any more suggestions?
Michael, I will try ordering my chart through Legacy and see what happens. Thanks for your suggestions.
I love Legacy and have been using it for many years but am very disappointed with Legacy Charting.

I still use Progeny's Charting Companion for Legacy as it can be scaled and will produce much smaller charts and has other features not available in Legacy Charting.

Legacy seems to have forgotten the requests made by users of their charting program as we have not had an update since 2008.
Thank you Patricia for your feedback. I thought it might be just me who has not had a great deal of success being able to produce printed charts using the Legacy Charting program. I will have a look at the Progeny's Charting Companion.

Thanks again.
One tip for Progeny's charts. If you are using British Quarter dates from the BMD indexes, enter these as, for example, " MarchQ 1858" without a space between the month and the Q. Otherwise whether it is a birth, a marriage or a death it prints as deceased!

I found this out quite by chance when I realised that a couple of my quarter dates were printing correctly!
