Paling of Weston Hills and Spalding areas

My late first wife's mother Annie Paling (from Whitby, Yorks.) was descended from the Paling family of Weston. Her grandfather was Elijah Paling, carpenter and publican at Cowbit; he was the son of George Paling & Sarah (Elsom), farmers of Weston. George was the son of another George, also a farmer at Weston, and his wife Mary. We have yet to find conclusive evidence of George & Mary's marriage, and of George's parentage. If there is any member who knows anything of this family I would be interested to hear from them. I know that a certain other member is also descended from the same family and would be as thrilled as I to find out anything about the first George.
