My Lloyds (husband's) are from the Darlington area of South Carolina.  I suspect they came from the Wake/Granville area of NC, but don't know farther back.  The patriarch was Ebenezer Loyd (1747-1847).  Yes, he died at age 100. There are not a lot of records regarding Ebenezer--children, etc. Ancestry Trees have as many as three sons, that's all. And of those, only one is listed as having a son.  My husband's line goes back to J. Elihu Lloyd (b1833), m. Lena Laney Register (b1831).  I don't know where Elihu plugs into the L(l)oyd dynasty.

Hey Everyone,

I would like to introduce ya'll to a new database for obituaries at http://www.ourfamtree.org/obituaries/.  This database is affiliated with Trails to the Past with whom I host several counties.

Please check out the site at your convenience and if interested, please post any obituaries that you have.

Thanks Charlie,
This is indeed my Eli and Emma. They came thru several times from England but the last time was mid 1920's. I found Eli passing away, but I can't find Emma anywhere. I even have their children and their spouses, but for some reason Emma is just fallen off the radar. Thanks for looking. I have even had several people at the Michigan Archives look, and they can't find her. We find her in the 1958 directory and then the 1964 directory shows their son Fred living alone in the house. I guess I'll just keep looking. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

I don’t know if this is your Emma, but I thought I’d pass the data along.

Do you know when Eli and/or Emma came to Canada and when they came to Michigan?

The only thing I found in Michigan was their entry on the 1930 census (or I think it is them). Children are Thomas, Ernest, John, Fred. There is a John Leatherbarrow also living with them.

I hope this helps.

I am in nened of some serious help. I have an Eli Lloyd, who migrated to Detroit Michigan with his wife, Emma Hollingsworth Lloyd. I can not seem to find anything on Emma. I have narrowed her death down to sometime between 1956-1963 in Michigan, but she doesn't show up on any of the death indexes or anything. Does anyone have any information on her? Both of them came in to the USA from England, via Canada. I would love to have dates for her birth and death and find out what Cemetery they are in. Any help is appreciated~ Arlene
