I am looking for information on Waitman Frazier b.1810 Hawkins Co. I can locate him on the cenus up until 1850, would like to know where and when he died. Who were his parents?

Provide a name and exact date of death, and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Mail your request to:

According to one of our volunteers, Julia C.:
Beginning on February 17 and ending August 17th 2009, the library will conduct "a Document Delivery Pilot Program," offering the OPTION of their responding to an obituary request by using digital scan image for reply. (You could still send SASE for hardcopy if you wanted.) They have indicated that "No self-addressed stamped envelope is required if you provide your email address." You must still send your original request via US Postal Service as before.

Are there any members near Crown Point, New York in Essex County?
My grandparents, Hiram McGINNIS and Florence McGINNIS nee CRANE
are buried in the White Church Cemetery in Crown Point, New York.
I have no photo of their headstones. I posted a request on Find-A-Grave about ten months ago and got no response(so I removed the request).

If it is a book compiled of public records you can share this information, if it comes from a compiled records book, I use that book as the source. If the book is a personal family history book or Genealogy Society Book you must give the book author and publisher credit for the information. Since the information is useless to us whithout the source we don't have a lot to worry about. If it is a book such as the one I have on my list, Matthews/Reynolds GA/TX . I will tell you if your people are listed. This is a family story you would want on your own bookshelf if your family were listed. Any book store can order this book for you.

I believe that there is no violation of copyright when offering to share public domain data (essentially the vast majority of data of interest in genealogical research) in your possession even if it comes from copyrighted collections or compilations of such data. The copyright is not of the data but the published work. As a creator of such a work, I would own the right for publishing or republishing the work but not the data therein. Offering to look up public domain data in a copyrighted work does not violate the creator's right to publish or republish the entire work. I believe that because a person wishes to interpret the copyright laws otherwise is no justification for the rest of us having to give up the right to name the works we are willing to search for public domain data to share. It is somewhat akin to asking every user of a book in a library to pay a copyright or royalty fee to use the book and extract data from it.

Hi, I am from the Harrisburg, Pa area and am willing to do Free research in this area. I can pull Genealogical documents.Obituaries, find and record, and photograph tombstones. Whatever your need I will try to assist.
