Have you looked into this group , Creole, Cajun, Isleños & Málagueño Genealogy on Facebook? They have posted the PORCHE surname.There is also a book:  From Porche to Labatut, Two Centuries on the Pointe Coupee Coast by Brian Costello. There is also a Yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/laafam/ researching this surname.

 

There are a few people researching this surname on the Louisiana Surnames - Louisiana Researchers database too in addition to the surnames: AGUILLARD, PORCHE, BERTRAND, AMAZON, LEDUFF, DECUIR, DECOUX, ESNAULT, DUPAR, JONES.

Thank you so much for posting the information for resources!  I am sure it will help with the Porche, Pointe Coupee research.  That's exactly why we are here:  to help each other in our research.  I have to apologize for lagging behind with posting.  I had good intentions when I started this but, unfortunately, living gets in the way of our fun stuff.
