Maurer Family Genealogy

First let me introduce my self, my name is Debra Egbert-Foster. I have been a genealogist for about ten years. So I guess, you could said I was a newbie.

When my Maurer came here from Walpserwill, Switzerland, they settled in Muscatine County, Iowa.
Or at least mine did. My great great great grandmother was Ann Maurer. She was born 11 Sept, 1808 in Walpserwill, Switzerland and died 3 Jan 1891 in Wilton Junction, Muscatine, County, Iowa. Anna married Benedick/Bendicth Marolf in Switzerland. Anna was the daughter of Johannes Maurer, her mother is unknown.

Wilton Junction is now known as Wilton. The name was change sometime around 1970.
