The text of the Dictionary of Medieval Latin from British Sources has been made available under license to the Logeion project hosted by the University of Chicago and is now accessible via the Logeion interface at http://logeion.uchicago.edu/.

The Logeion interface, which does not require a subscription of any kind, allows searching of all its many dictionaries by headword. ....

Depending on which website you look at Sterphanie/Etiennette of MARSEILLE, btwn. 1024/40, d. 11 Sep 1095, 1m. to Geoffrey of PROVENCE, 2m. to Bernard of FOIX.. She is given several sets of parents: 1) Bertrand of MARSEILLE & unknown, or else 2) Guillaume II of MARSEILLE (Bertrand's father) who 1m. Aiceline de BAUX or else 3) from Guillaume II & 2nd wife, Stephanie/Etiennette of BAUX-RIANS. Can anyone provide me with the correct info & reference (other then a webpage). Thanks.

I have alot of names but know little about them - And I have where they lived

Roiobert the Strong - died in 866 in Austria, Margaret de Tureeneor just the name De Tureen that lived in France in 1600Gualillaume I Tallifiefer I am a decendent of George Taylor the brother of the PReisdent and this is from the older part of there tree. Raymond de Vicount de Tureene 1074born in France and died in the Holy lands. I have several ancestors that were in the crusaides. And would like thename of a good book I could study that or any other thing relating to people from France, England and Ireland during that time. I have done my tree but do not know really what I have there. There are several of them that go back to the English and French Royalty and back to Pipin and his father Charlemagne which until last week I knew nothing about. I was a Florence whose family came from near Florence Ky and a Milligan who were from Oklahoma (INdian territory) and that is as far as I knew. Now I have found out some new things that are very new to me and would love to learn more about these people and I have many lines that go back to those dates.

Does anyone have info on where in France the De La Noyes family came from before they migrated to Holland?  when they came to America they changed the spelling to Delano.  They were Huguenots  That is why they left France.  Thanks.

I was immediately interested in this group because I have found several medieval ancestors.  Enough that it would be difficult to write them all down here.  One is John of Gaunt (Ghent). also, of his father Edward III.  I am still trying to work on all my lines back to the old countries.  I just got lucky and some of my ancestors were published in books because they were royalty or near royalty.  But it gets more exciting to find John Q public who isn't well known, and he is there anyway.  Thanks for listening.  I'll tell you more when things happen.

Love this site for the charts & coats of arms shown:

See "Lignages"

Can't read French so not sure how accurate everything is but he does list sources and updates it.

The way I would do this, is to read all the published biographies of Penelope and Charles Blount and see what sources they cite. It's possible that one or both of them left wills, or that her other legitimate or illegitimate children did and mention your Ruth in them. That is how I would start.
