He married FLORA JANE MCEACHERN 31 Aug 1845 in Carroll, Mississippi, daughter of DANIEL MCEACHERN and MARY MCDOUGALD.
She was born 31 Jan 1829 in Jefferson, MS, USA, and died Sep 1850 in Carroll, MS, USA.
In the 1850 census at Southern Division at Carroll County, Mississippi, James W. Eades, 27 and his family of wife Flora (18) and three children Winfield S (5), John D (2) and William (1).
They lived next door to dad, Bartlett M. Eads, 55, Carpenter, born Virginia with wife, Dicey, 60 (sic) born Virginia (This would put her born about 1789).
