Hi,

 

My GGGgrandfather, George Moon, (1820-1907) belonged to a family that had many members in Stalisfield.  George came with William Moon (1798-1873) from Stalisfield and his wife Christian Coulter (1790-1878) of Ospringe, and John Moon (1795-1878) and his wife Sarah Wright (1808-1881) or Wraight, both of Stalisfied.  William and John are brothers, but not sure of the relationship with George.  In his will, William refers to George as "cousin".  That could be the literal truth, or a generalization.  William and John appear to be the songs of Thomas Moon and his wife Mary Moon. 

 

The situation is very confusin as there appears to be more than one Moon family with the names William, John and Thomas, so this may be conjecture.  Suggestive evidence but no solid proof yet.

 

No parents know for George Moon.
