Does anyone have an Andrew Moore from near the area of Washington County, PA - possibly Eighty-four, PA now?  He had a son, Andrew Jr. and a daughter Elizabeth Moore who married Christian Kintner, ca 1800-1810. They moved to what is now Carrollton, Carroll Co., Oh and are buried in the old cemetery.

Greetings, I'm new to Genealogy Wise and this Moore Family Discussion Forum and am looking for information on the family of my great-grandfather, Warren James Moore (born 1 Aug 1841) who was married to Mary Jerusha Clarke. They had three children; Henry Clark Moore, my grandfather, was born 15 Mar 1870. He lived on Long Island, New York and was married to Charolet La Verne Bradley. Henry and Charolet Moore had three children who grew up on Long Island:  Bradley Moore (born 22 Mar 1902; married Helen Healy; their children: Warren James Moore and Josephine Moore);  Mary Emily Moore (born 8 May 1903 - died 1 Dec 1940; married Albert Arthur Scattergood; they had one child: Gene Arthur Scattergood); and  Josephine Moore (born 31 Oct 1904; married Edward Orton; children: Joan La Verne Orton and Richard Orton)
There is more information on their family tree here: http://www.gis.net/~scatt/genealogy/genealogy_moore.html
If any one has information on this branch of the Moore family, I'd appreciate knowing. I look forward to meeting of Moore family members here and getting and giving information on the family. Thanks

The Jeremiah Moore family migrated to Carter County, Kentucky area. Then by 1850 to Clayton County, Iowa, then by 1854 Madison County, Iowa, then abt 1864 they left for Oregon with two bachelor sons, Philip M. Moore and John W. Moore. Jeremiah was born abt 1779/81.

Very interesting migration pattern for your Moore's, so close to the ones I am searching for. Other researcher's have Jeremiah's father as George Moore, but his son Hiram stated in a couple of bios that his grandfather was a William Moore. I have worked on this line for almost 10 years and a lot more research is needed.

I am researching the Moores from Annabeg, Collooney, Sligo.  Several children of Patrick Moore emigrated to NYC in 1870's.  Some went to Rhode Island.  My gr-grandfather, William Moore, settled in Queens County and had 12 children

Trying to trace my Moore family tree is like trying to identify which grains of sand came from the same stone!!!  I have gotten as far as Daniel and Deborah Poling Moore in Fredrick County MD in 1780's.  They ended up in Randolph County, then Barbour County WV.  Some of the family moved to Ohio and Kentucky in early 1800's and scattered from there as far as I can tell.  The Moores, at least my branch took to heart the biblical " Be fruitful and multiply"!!! I've been told that the name Moore is in the top 5 most common names in USA.  If anyone can help me with my tree, please message me.  If I can answer any questions anyone may have about my Moores, I will be glad to help.
