North Carolina Morgan Family

Davidson H, Morgan (1850 & 1860 Cape Gira. Co. Mo., 1870 Alexander Co. Il. census') was born abt. 1822 N.C. When I first found him in Cape Gira. Co. Mo. I did not find any other Morgan's who might be his kin. In 1857 he was involved in an estate settlement with William Cox, Robert Patterson, and Charles Gorden/Garden. Settlent was for one Henry Morgan and lists as heirs:Nancy Masters, mother, Davidson H. Morgan, Lucinda Gorden/Garden and James M. Morgan brother of Scott Co. Mo.
In 1858 James M. Morgan filed a request giving up all inheritence in exchange for all land rights owned by Henry Morgan, brother, and Nancy Morgan, deceased mother. By 1860 James M. Morgan had died in Cape Gira. Co. Mo. Davidson, Henry, and James M. Morgan had bought land in the Jackson area in the 1850's.In 1851 Davidson was appointed guardian to the estate of one Jacob Morgan in Stoddard Co. Mo. along with Jesse George and John Bolin. By 1870 Davidson had moved part of his family to Alex. Co. Il. By 1880 he has died. His widow and two of his children are listed in Alex. Co. Ill. No death certificate for any of the Morgan's involved exists,nor are there graves due to floods. Help! Please! Thank you and God bless, Kathy
