There appears to be a large number of cardiovascular issues within the Morrison family. As Ellie points out, it would be very interesting to pinpoint the various genetic issues involved here. Hypertension and high cholesterol are 2 issues that my branch of the Morrison family has more than it's fair share of. Something I'm quite interested in is where the psoriasis comes from. It's a genetic defect that I inherited from my father, Julian Knox Morrison III who is a descendant of the Wm T/Ella Kendrick line. Recently there has been a strong link found between psoriasis and cardiovascular disorders. A very recent discovery has found the gene involved. Are there any other Morrison family members dealing with any of these other issues?
I just spoke to another Morrison descendant and he told me that his branch has Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency which is also Genetic, He also said that one person from his branch moved to yalobusha and grenada?
I am hoping to make further contact with him, and I invited him to this group,
I was tested for that a couple years back. Don't have it. However, the MTHFR mutation showed up in my sister when they tested her earlier this year. It's assumed I have it too cause I was running a high homocysteine level that was corrected with folate supplements. Elevated homocysteine levels are associated with cerebrovascular disease, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction and venous thrombosis. I take my folate every day.
That's really Interesting that your sister has tested positive to it, I don't know the man's full name but its Brown and he now joined the group, We may now be able to find your Julian's father, although he did say that he did not have a Julian in his tree, but with his and James experience they may be able to compare branches and work it out.
He also said there was confusion between his William and the other William Morrison
She tested positive to a different gene mutation than the one in Brown's family. It was just another genetic defect I was tossing out into the pot. The one in his family puts people at high risk for emphysema and liver disease.

Which William and which other William?
