  • Having a problem finding John D. Watson in Wales.  Ended up in Hawaii around 1848.  Became a naturalized citizen in 1848 and the paper states he was from Milford, England.  Census records say he was born in Wales.  Died in 1878 in Kaneohe, Hawaii.  Married a native Hawaiian woman and had children.  Left a will, but gives no information.

Hi Yvonne,
What information are you looking for on John D Watson? Have you found him in the 1841 UK census records? Have you found him on immigration records?
I have not found him in the 1841 census record. I understand that he was in the Royal Navy. He was born about 1810 and was in Hawaii by 1842. I am trying to find out where he was born so I can find his parents. I only have information on him since he was in Hawaii. The census records in Hawaii say he was born in Wales. His naturalization record from Hawaii says he is a native of Milford, England. That is about all I know about him.
Hi Yvonne-
Can you post the information on his wife and children, and possibly the census records you found? That would help greatly. Thanks! :)
