Coleaus surname
Looking for anyone with the surname Coleaus. My father Richard Don Coleaus was supposedly born in a place called Orapax, Virginia March 18, 1932. I can not find anyone with the surname Coleaus. I have been searching for him for over 25 years. His parents were supposed to have been killed in a car crash when he was a young child. He was sent to live with an aunt and uncle surname Leitzenhapher in King County, Washington. I can't find any Leitzenhaper's either. Anyone have any suggestions?

I checked Ancestry.com. I found only a birth record with his name(I'm assuming it is your record). I'm not finding any record for Leitzenhapher. I'll keep looking at the different references I have access to. -

Penny, Do you by chance know the town/city where your fathers parents were killed? If so, you may be able to find a newspaper from there that would have an article on the crash. Did the town your dad was born in maybe change its name somewhere along the line. Or can you find anything that looks close to Orapax?
