Looking for parents of Robert Gordon, born around 1743 in Fayette County PA. and died around 1790. Who were his parents , were they from Scotland and if so from where, He married Sarah who died around 1813. What was her maiden name?

Do you have any other information regarding your Gordon family to start with? Did Robert and Sarah have children? What are your sources for the dates for Robert and Sarah?

A long time ago a distant cousin Graham line) made up a family tree book and gave it to me. I still have some of it. I do not know who Robert's father was or where he came from although I do think the Gordons were Scots or Scotch Irish 1-8 .Family Search and the public record section at ancestry has info on Robert and Sara. There is a book I found at the library called THE COMPLETE PEERAGE by GEC published by Doubleday Warrand & Howard de Walden pgs 1-8. The books are in sections and I think the G section is in either volume 1 or 2. I don't know if these are our Gordons but this would give us ideas on where they may have been from. I'll put the other Gordon info on as soon as I can. It might take me a while Annette
