Thank You for Your Help ! It is a step toward finding B.M. Herod & Mattie J.,s grave sites and dates of their deaths. I am fairly sure they died in Houston Co.TX. before 1910.. Thanks, Dan Salmon

Ben married Mrs Mattie J. Martin in 1896 in Anderson Co. TX. Apparenly his 1st wife died, ? When-Where ? She was Georgia Ann King-b,10-10-1857-AL. They married in Erath Co. TX.. They had Truman Garfield "Gorry" Herrod/ Herod-b.1885 >d.May 5-1928 from a accident at his Sister,s husband,s sawmill..His sister was my GrandMa "Sallie" Sarah Ann Frances Herrod /Herod-Johnson,b.June 5-1886-7 and died June 5-1977 and both are buried at Guiceland Cem.-Houston Co.TX. This is where most of my Salmon--Johnson,s are buried at.. Truman,s headstone is marked incorrectly. It states Carry T.Herrod-b.Sept.14-1884 & d.May 5-1928.. Truman married Mrs.Mary Etta Miller-b.1883 & d.1934 in Anderson Co. TX.fro0m cancer.. They had only one child, Nellie Georgia Herrod-b.12-11-1927-Anderson Co.TX She had a rough life taking care of her Mom and half brothers.. After her Mom,s passing she moved around till she was abt.17-18 yr, winding up in Loma Linda Calif. at the Seven Day Adventist School. She met and married Lynn Robinson. Lynn has decesed and Nellie is living in Las Vegas NV. with her oldest daughter and husband.. My GrandMa Sallie married Marshall Hubbard Johnson-b.1881-d.1943-Anderson Co.TX. They had 5 sons & 4 daughters, the oldest child,My Mom,Florene Johnson-Salmon-Shamblin-b.Aug.1807 & d.July 4-1971in Houston TX. Truman and Sarah,s parents were Ben M.Herrod-b,1850-d.n/a and Georgia Ann King-b.10-10-1857-AL.>d.n/a-Tx. They married in Erath Co.TX. Georgia Ann was the 7th of 13 children [only 2 sons] of William King and Winfred Hardie-King. William was one of four children---Jehu & Hiram and Ann...Their parents was Bennet King & Polly---n/a--- "Winnie"-Winfred was daghter of William Hardie and Laurica Perkins.. Thanks DS
