Elisa C Murray 1878 - 1905?

I am trying to trace the parents of Eliza C Murray (1878-?). I'd appreciate any leads you can offer.

Elisa married William Robert Cole ("Billy Bob," 1867-1941) in 1894 according to the 1900 US Census, Virginia, Halifax County, Black Walnut district. My estimate of her death is based on her youngest child born 1901, and William Robert marrying Rosa Currin in 1906.

Elisa Murray, age 2, is found on the 1880 census, Red Bank, Halifax, VA:
(head) William H Murray (b. abt 1848),
(wife) Elisa Y. Murray (b. abt 1845),
(son) Robert F. Murray (b. abt 1869),
(son) Irby G. Murray (b. abt 1871),
(daughter) Rosa Murray (b. abt 1876)
(daughter) Elisa C Murray (b. abt 1878).

I have had difficulty tracking down the maiden name of Elisa Y. Murray (1845-?), and also the parents or any other information about William H. Murray. I have found some evidence on the web that Elisa Y Murray may be Elisa Buntin, but have no formal proof of this other than the word of mouth on the web. If anyone has information they could share, I'd greatly appreciate it.

One last note: I frequently find the Murray's listed as Murry or Munay depending on transcription etc.
