GGRANDFATHER PATRICK READY CAME FROM IRELAND-CTY UNKNOWN- HE WAS BORN BETWEEN 1846-1849 . HE SAID HE CAME OVER IN 1862 WHEN HE WAS 15. HE WAS IN MINERAL POINT AT LEAST BY 1869. . MARRIED DEBBY GORDON-HER FIRST NAME SPELLED DELILY ON MARRIAGE RECORD- MAY 1, 1871 IN ST JOSEPHS CATHOLIC CHURCH. HE IS LIVING IN RESIDENCE OF A MARY GORDON IN 1870 CENSUS. DEBBY GORDON ALSO LIVING THERE WITH HER SIBLINGS. PATRICK CONSTABLE IN MINERAL POINT. . THERE WAS AN ATORNEY A T READY LIVING IN NEW PHILLY AND PATRICK WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE HAD CONTACT WITH HIM. DONT KNOW IF POSSIBLE FAMILY CONNECTION .TO AT. A T READY HAD A SON ALSO NAMED PATRICK AND MY PATRICK USED TO MISTAKENLY GET HIS MAIL. ACCORDING TO OLD NEWSPAPER RECORD AT ANCESTRY.COM PATRICK WAS TAKING A MR BOIL TO JAIL AROUND AUG 1881-BOILS FIRST NAME MAY HAVE BEEN EDWARD- AND WAS BEATEN BY MR BOIL WITH PATRICKS OWN BILLY CLUB. WAS TOLD NOTHING DONE ABOUT BEATING, . PATRICK DIED DEC 1881. MAY HAVE BEEN A A CIVIL SUIT BROUGHT AGAINST BOIL-WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IFSO AND RESULT OF IT WHERE WAS PATRICK BEFORE 1869. IN 1870 CENSUS, SAID HIS VALUE OF PROPERTY WAS $1,000 WHICH WAS A LOT OF MONEY THEN FOR A COAL MINER. WONDER WHERE HE GOT THE MONEY.PATRICKS BROTHER IN LAW CYRENUS BRICK.
