I'm trying to organize things a bit so I've made threads in the Discussion Forum for each county. If you know where the people you are researching lived, please post your queries, information, etc. in the appropriate thread/county. If you don't know where in Northeastern Ohio the people you are researching lived or if they lived in multiple counties, go ahead and post to the Comment Wall below. Also, if you feel your post is urgent or you want it to be viewed by the whole group, post to the Comment Wall. As always, everyone is also still welcome to start their own discussion threads.

Sara - regarding your Cook connection, Elva Cook b. NY m. Usner, then Houge lived in Akron, Ohio where my grandmother Grace M. Usner was born and married Raymond Robinson.
Do any of these names sound familiar?

BLISS- Elryria,Lorain, Ohio.. Herbert Bliss Married Clara Walker daughter of Soloman Walker and Wife Elizabeth (Vaughn). I really would love to find out where and when Herbert Died. 1880 Census

My husband's LEACH ancestors were in Geauga County until about 1850. Look forward to discussions with other Geauga researchers. Sue Edminster

My maternal family were located in Portage, Cuyahoga and Summit Co.
Maternal surnames: Robinson, Usner, Howe, Holcomb, Obryan and Cook

Most if not all my paternal ancestors came from Ohio, though they started in PA or MD. My main line, FRY lived in Stark County, but were also in Summit and Tuscarawas County. My paternal grandmother's parents were born in PA but moved to Ohio. My FREED ancestors are from my paternal great-grandmother's first husband. They lived mainly in Columbiana County.

Some of my paternal ancestors come from or lived in northeastern Ohio. Joab & Marick Rockwell lived in Brecksville, Cuyahoga County first, and Marick lived in Hinckley, Medina County from the mid 1820s to 1855.
Edward Johnston & wife Margaret Timmons lived in Cuyahoga County area from c 1810 & later, their daughter, Margaret married Marick Rockwell in 1824.
Andrew Linman lived in Medina County, I believe the Brunswick area c 1830s. And all the children of these people.

My paternal lines are in Stark & Portage counties. Names I am searching: HAY, STROBEL, KINSER(OWSKY), SHELLENBARGER, WERNER, DUERR, BOWER, GROVE.

All of my paternal lines come through Trumbull and Mahoning Counties (Youngstown area and Warren specifically). Surnames include: Allen, Evans, Lapiccirella, Daccia, Murray, Osborne, Sechler, Shepardson, Baker, Miller, Walters and a few more. Also researching some lines in Cuyahoga Co., including the surname Davis.
