Cookies and Other Snacks

I was in the Chat Room earlier today and we were talking recipes. I mentioned one my family has from sometime in the thirties. As the recipe states, I believe that it was published in Good Housekeeping; I do know that it came from some magazine published during the 30s.

PS, We often use fewer nuts; pecans can be chosen instead of walnuts.
