Oliphants in Mississipi and Carolina???

I am very interested in the OLIPHANT family that was in Texas, Mississippi,
and possibly Tennessee or North Carolina. I am very interested in a
James H. OLIPHANT [born circa 1775 ??] who died in Holmes Co., MS in
1835 who might have been in Maury Co., TN and related to the John and
Elisabeth ALLISON OLIPHANT family of Rowan Co., NC. James H. might be
one of the buyers at the estate sale of William BROWN in Maury Co., TN.
I have no idea if this is the same man as of yet. I have only started on
this line recently. Can you help me in any way? Thankyou.
