Hamilton, Ontario

My family blew through Hamilton Ontario for about 70 years. The emigrated from England. My 2nd great grandfather George Sharp came with my great grandfather Harry in the early 1850's. Harry's mother and sister had died in London, I think. I would love to find some kind of verification of that. Anyone have any ideas? George and Harry were both carpenters in Hamilton. I have met one family member online, also a graduate of the NIGS. We share another 2nd great grandfather who had descendants that  married into my Sharp family. Of the 5 Sharp children of the marriage of Harry Sharp and Margaret Gray, 3 were boys and 2 girls. 2 of the boys went to Winnipeg and my grandfather went to Detroit. Can anyone share any pictures or information about Hamilton in the late 1800's? One daughter Gertrude married David Forrest and Sophie married Robert Hyslop Jeffrey. Do these names sound familiar to anyone?
