Forthcoming closure of Oxfordshire Studies, & news of Oxfordshire History Centre

Currently Oxfordshire Record Office at Cowley is shut while building works
take place, and Oxfordshire Studies at Westgate will close in a month's
time.  The two are going to reopen later in the year, hopefully in May, as a
new History Centre, in St Luke's at Cowley, which will by then have
undergone internal expansion work.  The Oxfordshire Health Archives will
also have been absorbed into this new History Centre.

>From March onwards, the second floor of the library at Westgate will be a
local & family history facility, under the aegis of the library, with a
selection of printed and electronic resources, and, as now, help from OFHS
volunteers on some days.

Oxfordshire FHS's own Holford Centre at Stanton St John will continue to
open as usual - see www.ofhs.org.uk .
