Oxfordshire FHS Open Day - Saturday 2 October at Woodstock

It's not long now to Oxfordshire FHS's Open Day on Saturday, 2nd October.

We'll be delighted to welcome OXF GenealogyWise members!

The venue is the Marlborough School, in Woodstock.  This is where we held
our successful Open Day last year, so we decided to repeat the formula this
year.  It's a level site, with plenty of parking, and two light and airy
halls - one will have an Oxfordshire focus, and the other will have a
selection of stalls - see http://www.ofhs.org.uk/OpenDay.html for a list of
who's attending.  There are other family history societies, stalls selling
software, postcards and books, and local history societies too.

In the Oxfordshire hall will be an opportunity to visit our beginners
helpdesk, or talk to one of our helpers in the computer area who will have
our parish register transcripts and our county-wide search services.  Our
CDs & fiche will be available for purchase, along with a selection of books.
We are also pleased to have Oxfordshire Record Office & Oxfordshire Studies
attending the event.

There will also be reasonably priced light refreshments.
