George, I haven't seen any in Scotland yet. My grandma always thought that our Page family was from England.

Kristi, I do not have any of those names in my page family. Well not yet we never know. Any links in Scotland?

My PAGE line starts with my grandmother, Rhea A Page Thornton (1927-2004). Then my line goes: Arthur (1898-1985), Horace Emery (1868-1948), Jeremiah (1845-1920), William Shane (1821-1888), Abednego (1796-1940), and possibly Jesse. I would love to find proof of Abednego's parentage. He was born in Frederick County, VA. He had a sister Rachel and 2 brothers: Shadrach & Meshach, Not much more is known of the brothers, but Rachel & Abednego moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio. She married a Mark Herron/Herin.

Thanks Linda, Yes I can trace the Pages in Scotland to the early 1700's. With some references to the early 1500's. Since I was the born here in Canada most of my research is overseas mainly Scotland. I can find a lot of Pages but it's trying to find the connections I find hard. Well fun to. For now i will keep at it.

bye for now
George

I guess your line is later than mine. I didn't know there were Pages in Scotland. My Great Grandparents came over from Edinburgh in the late 1800s. I think my Grandmother was conceived on the boat over, if I got the timing correct. They were the Mathesons from Gils Canisby and related to the Innes clan which was her grandparents. Good Luck in your genelogy hunting.

George, You may be connected to my line of Pages. I have two George Pages. The father died in 1822 that is the earliest date I have for the family. His son is know as George Baylor Page which I suspect is his mother's maiden name. I also suspect since they are in Virginia that the name George comes from George Washington. What do you have? Linda

There are three of us who are researching to find the connection between George Page of Fauquier Co. VA and Mann Page of Roswell House VA. Anyone else out there working on the early Page family. John Page the progenitor was a friend of Thomas Jeffereson.
