Hi Marten,
Haven't heard the John Smith but in several Colonial Records he is assigned duties and he was second in command to Miles Standish.
Which line after James? I have worked on updating a few lines other then mine. Thanks-Todd
Hi Todd,
I didn't see his name on the list of passengers of The Fortune, didn't know about the military ships, so are you 10 Gen.?, we split at after the first James. My line was set up by a distant cousin, Edward Fink, but he passed and it was taken down, his sister has the same info online some where. It would not surprise me if you're correct about the military connection, I heard from one of my Uncles that Jon Smith had written a letter of introduction for him, so I assume he was some sort of military man in England.
Marty 10 Gen of Lt.William Palmer
Martin James Palmer
Lt.William Palmer is not the Palmer on the fortune. The general idea I have since he first appears in Colonial records as Sargent Palmer he most likely came over on a military ship. That's the angle I'm working anyway. Do you have a copy of Horace Palmer's "Palmer Family in America"?
Lt. William was my 9th GGF and I have been pondering up dating all the lines as much as possible.
My line would be Lt. William, James, Samuel, Samuel, James, David, David, Henry, Mary.
I would be interested in your line as well.
Your distant Palmer cousin-Todd
Hello,
My great grandmother Clara E. Palmer (Edward McQueen, Andrew Williams) DOB September 12, 1865 was born in Fort Ann, New York. Her parents are listed as William Palmer & Mary Danison. I can find no record of this beyond her death certificate. I do see a Eunice Palmer born in 1865 - could this possibly be the "E" in Clara E Palmer? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Clara had 1 son with Edward McQueen - William McQueen and one daughter listed as Daisy McQueen. She does not show up anywhere until 1905 Census in Whitehall, NY list as step daughter (1893 born) along with step son William McQueen. Any help at all would be appreciated:)
hello all, my 7th GGF was Lt.William Palmer, I'm trying to go back a little more, had a real problem with the William Palmer that was on the Fortune, some say he was his father, others say no, if you want to weigh in on this, by all means please share. ty
Hi. My Palmer line comes thru my Dad. Mary An palmer. She is the eldest child of James Palmer and Nancy Baughman of Ohio. Thank you for any help. And thankyou for letting me join. Linda Hannigan
Does any one have information on the Morman Palmers? The family rumor is that their is Cree Indian blood, I have found nothing. So I'm looking for any info on the wives of Abraham Whitney Palmer and his son Luther Moses Morris Palmer. Both had at least 2 wives possibly 3.
Hi I'm also from the multi branched Lt William Palmer/Judith Feake tree. I have considered an attempt at an overall update to Horace Palmer's book but thought too difficult in the past. I see several branches represented below in previous posts that would be a huge start. Anybody interested please inquire.
Hi, I am early in my research of Palmer in my family from Australia. I have only found my first UK ancestor, Daniel George Palmer, born in Dover Kent in 1845 so don't know which Palmer line we may be related to. His parents were Daniel Palmer and Sarah Mummery but I don't have any further information on them yet. Great to find the group. Kendall
