BUSHNELL of Philly area (incl Kirk and Kemp)

I'm now working on a new line from the Philly area. I remember that the last time i was working on this area, i found some great sites where i found records, but now i can't remember them for the life of me. arg.

Through census work and such i've got 2 more generations.

My grammy always said the Bushnell was her cousin. I found a Joel Bushnell on a census, living with Charles Frederick Kemp and his wife Elsie [Kirk], when Charles was station in Philly. It listed him as nephew. I know of know way that he would be a Kemp. Plus Elsie and the Kirks were from Philadelphia, so he must be her kin.

I've done some work and found Joel, born 13 Feb 1915 in Pennsylvania. died 1 apr 2004 in massachusetts.

I searched more census and found him, i believe. son of Joel H Bushnell and a Mable. found no other children yet.Both of them appeared to be alive at the time of Jr living with Fred, so i'm not sure why he was in their care.

Joel appears to have been born abt Jun 1890 in PA, Mable abt 1893. Joel appears to be the son of Henry and Margaret A "Maggie". There seems to be 8 children. Joel, Lizzie b 1882 (married Joseph Vissale/i), Lizzie 1888, Albert 1892, Harry 1894 , Joseph H 1895, Elmer 1898, and Kenneth 1905. on one of the census, i got alittle confused, but it seems that Albert married and Elsie as well. had at least 2 children, Anna May and Elsie.

Joseph H and Harry are possibly the same person, but i havent determined yet. i need more info on them to figure that out.

These Elsies are def not my Elsie Kirk.

on these census, they were in Philadelphia. I havent found them on the early census yet. I have to do some more creative searching.  I think i got them from about 1900-1930, but I dont have them in front of me right now. 

So, though I have got some where with the Bushnell, there is obviously still alot I need in terms of records. And i am still very confused on the relationship to Elsie Kirk. I don't know of Elsie being married before Fred.

 I don't yet have their marriage record yet, though. Charles Frederick Kemp Jr married Elsie Viola Kirk, c apr 1910 in Philadelphia. Elsie was the child of Zachary Taylor Kirk and a Margaret (dont have her surname yet). I've posted about this Kirk family, here, in the past.

Is anyone familiar with this family, or can tell me where to search for the records. Both the birth/marriage/death of the Bushnells, as well as marriage record of Elsie and Fred.
