Q? How would you attempt Genealogy Networking?

Hi Stan,
I would suggest trying to find a local genealogy society or club and send one of the officers an e-mail about your situation and what you are trying to find. You may even be able to find one on Facebook and contact them that way. I know the club that I am a member reads requests and questions at our business meeting to see if anyone has suggestions or can help the requestor. Often times they have members who travel to the county courthouse or archives frequently and may be able to help for a much smaller fee than if you contacted that place yourself - or maybe even free.
I've also had some success with message boards, though sometimes I don't get a response for a few years! I know that's a long time to wait. For example, on Ancestry you can post for free under the surname OR you can post by location. You may get better information and help if you post your query on the York, York County, PA board rather than the Arney one.
I hope this is helpful.
Jaime
