Oh Ellen that's fine, I just used the word to describe the era. Many of my ancestors were the Quakers and others who were persecuted by the puritans. I seem to have a lot of the dissenter type in my background, those who bucked the system. I always wondered where I got that from lol

I would love to see more of the stories connected with your ancestors, if you care to share. When things settle down a bit and I catch my breath, I'll post some of mine here too.

Of course I have "strangers" in my ancestry like John Billington and William Witter...who were definitely not your pilgrim norm..
