Philadelphia Quaker Meeting or member records
Trying to find evidence that a branch of my Wilson family was Quaker. Family story is Levi Wilson was a frequent speaker at the Philadelpia Friends Meeting House. I do not know if it was the father Levi or the son Levi so time frame is 1860s - 1910s. Would like to glean as much about the entire family as possible from any records that might be available. What records are available? What is the best way to research this from Kansas City?

I checked my Quaker CD and only found Levi Wilsons in SE OH -- From Shortcreek/Mt Pleasant MM in 1862 a Levi Wilson was "disowned jw" -- sorry I don't know what jw is -- I haven't seen that before and it's definition isn't listed; from Stillwater MM a Levi Wilson was "disowned for marrying contrary to discipline".
This CD is not all-inclusive. You might check LDS films for Quaker listings. -

I am pretty new here, but I live in New Jersey and frequent Philadelphia because my son is there for college. I have found a number of references to a Levi B. Wilson of Philadelphia in the late 1800's - but they all reference Levi as a Presbyterian Minister. Does your Levi have a middle initial B? If not, can you give me a little more information and I will check what records I have? Thanks!
