Murdoch McLeod, Frances Simpson Munro

Hi, Helen.

I, too, am a descendant of Frances Munroe and Murdoch McLeod through their daughter Annie Munroe. Annie (1871-1933) married Angus Matheson McKay (1862-1953). They had three daughters the eldest of whom, Jean (1905-1978) was my mother. Mother married Walter McDonald of Roland, Manitoba and they lived there throughout their married life.

We heard lots of strories growing up from my mother about Alexander Neil McLeod's son Alan. He was clearly a hero of hers and I have many news clippings of his exploits.

The ancestors of Frances Munroe and Murdoch McLeod are of great interest to me and I have few details.
