Kandel and Rossman in Bucarest

Hi all,

So Romania has been one of my big walls during my research. So here's what I do know:

My great great grandfather Avram Kandel (b1853) and his wife Bertha Rossman (b1855) brought their family over to the US (New York) from Bucarest ca 1904.

Their family included my great grandmother Anna Kandel Sanders (b 1890), her sisters Cecile Kandel (never married) and Betty Kandel Lieberman, and her brother Naftuli Kandel, Emmanuel Kandel, and Benjamin Kandel. Almost all of whom went on to have families of their own in the US.

Avram had a twin brother Louis aka Lupu who also came over to the US. His other siblings were Israel Mordecai Kandel, Saul, Nathan, Jacob and Rosa. Their parents were Moishe Kandel and Tziporah UNKNOWN.

I have almost no information on Moishe Kandel and Tziporah. What I do know is that Moishe's brothers name is Nathan and their father is named Jacob (btw I have a family portrait of these men). Nothing on Tziporah so far.

Bertha Rossman (Avrams wife) is equally mysterious the only thing I know about her is that she had a sister named Toni who married Avram's brother Jacob.
