I've not got the full census listing I'm afraid. I use Ancestry.com and they only have access to the basic information, they're not permitted to show a copy of the document for some reason.
It might well be that 'leston' has been transcribed incorrectly, is that what you are thinking?
Andrew. First Charles is a joiner and Sexton. He is living next but one to the Manse so is very near the church and how handy to have a joiner as the sexton - some on site to do repairs!
The website to use for Scottish census images is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. You register and then buy 30 credits for £6.00 which allow you to look at the original documents. To get to a document costs 6 credits so it is worth identifying as close as possible from other sources what you are looking for. As sexton there may be more info on him in the session records of the church which are held by the National Archives of Scotland.

Betty, you're a star! Thank you ever so much for clearing this up for me, most appreciated.
Now I know where to look it will make things a little easier for me.
