I am uncertain as to how I am to do this process. Brock -- I found your ancestor search involving Canada and Vt. interesting. I have tried exploring a reverse pattern but with no luck. Myo -- I do not know if they are the same. I vaguely recall seeing the Cyrus name ion some of my work. Also, I have not come across a Nancy Colson.
My ancestors were Searles, or Salls or various versions. I have evidence that my great grandfather came from Canada and migrated to Alburgh Vt.After Civil War my ancestor changed his name to Wise?? and moved first to Wisconsin and then Iowa.
I have Ancestry.com DNA results.
Would like to share info with Homer Searles siblings decendants..
Dennis, I have not done any DNA work, but have a question for you, Do you know if the Cyrus searles, listed on census records as being from both Vermont and from Canada are the same person?
I am interested in anyone who had done DNA work with FTDNA or 23and Me. Me Searles come out of northern Vermont (1807). I am connected with the FTDNA Searle group. My Y-haplogroup is R1b1b1a1a1 (23&me - R1b1b2a1a1) and mt mitochondrial DNA is J2e.
Hi small group. I am looking for some Searles, in the Vermont, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota areas. Especially the connection with a Nancy Colson
Your Thomas Odgers Nicholls interest me, was his mother's surname Odgers?
