Beginning July 27, we've made some changes to the chat schedules to make the hours a bit friendlier for Europeans and East Coast folks. Times may work for our Aussie friends too.
- evening Chillouts move to 7-9pm SLT (Pacific Time) beginning Monday, an hour earlier, at the Live Roots gazebo.
- the Afterchills chat moves to 6pm SLT on Wednesdays, an hour earlier, at Afterchills.
- We will have a new chat on Mondays at 3pm SLT. July 27 will be an organizing chat; beginning Monday August 3 the topic will focus on record types (although it may range afield.) This will tie into work Illya D'Addezio is doing on the Live Roots website to provide more focused searches, and is intended to follow the record types coming online there. This chat will be held in the gazebo at Live Roots.
Genealogy office hours (brick wall smashing) continues at 4:30-6:30 Mondays SLT, followed by the chillout at 7. Come with a problem, come to help, come to chat. If you have a specific problem, please make up a notecard ahead of time with your particulars to save time and let everyone present get onto the problem quickly. Office hours move to the schoolhouse at Live Roots beginning July 27.
You can find the events calendar on this group's home page, as well as at
http://brickwalls.ning.com. The calendar entries have the Second Life addresses (SLURLs), so I won't repeat them here, but contact me in-world if you need a landmark.
And this evening (Sunday), I'm looking forward to hearing Second Life adventures! Now that all the new folks have passed their second weeks and are getting around on their own, I want to hear your stories!
