Ella Mae Sheeks
My cousin and I are searching the name of Ella Mae Sheeks?
She was adopted to a George and Minerva Dutton.
The only information that I have is just that, and I was wondering if it is possible that she
could be a sister to Alice Sheeks?
She was adopted about the same year/years or so of Alice.
She died August 4th 1960, in Orange County California.

Here is a short bio of Ella May Sheeks
Ella May Sheeks was born on May 10, 1864 in Columbia County, WI. Her father was William Nelson Sheeks who was born in Genoa, Delaware County, Ohio and Mary Johnson who was born in Connecticut. William died at the Battle of the Wilderness. and Mary died soon after. In 1870 she was in the Soldiers Orphans Home in Madison, Wi & at the home of George Dutton in Grant County. In 1885 she was in the Nebraska state census, married to James Keeler. They had two children, Lula & Mabel. James died about 1892. Ella then married Samuel Deamud. They moved to California in the 1910's. Samuel died January 17, 1940 & Ella Mae died August 4, 1950.
