George Sheffield

George sheffield was my great, great, great grandfather.  He was the father of Marcus Gray, this son was fathered while George served in war, the baby was left with the Gray family and they adopted him.  A census of Estill county shows George and Marcus living at Station Camp as neighbors.  Marcus also married a Mary Miller in 1809 using the name of Mark Shuffle, second he married Betsy Carpenter as Mark Gray in 1817.  Marcus was born in 1782 in South Carolina, if you have any information to help me trace the Sheffield family tree, I would appreciate your kindness.
