The jury summoned by B. LYMAN, Mayor of McDade, finds that J. Hunter BELL came to his death by pistol shots at the hand of Jno. LAWRENCE, 23 Jan 1874. LAWRENCE was arrested and turned over to Town Marshall NASH, but in the night LAWRENCE escaped.
Jury members: Y. L. HEMPHILL, M. S. HUGHES, R. L. SMITH, T. W. SMITH, S. B. WILLIAMS, M. B. HIGHSMITH, A. B. THOMPSON, J. D. SMOOT, J. C. PICKEL, H. A. HIGHSMITH, S. G. AMSLER, and W. M. BRYCE.
