Mrs. Soule Olive Lee Henderson, of Charlotte, N.C., born 1 Oct. 1899

Her older siblings, Lillian Virginia Lee, LtCol Robert Henry "Marse" Lee (West Point class of 1912), and Charles Carter Lee, are in the 1890's book "Lee Family of Virginia" by Edm. Jennings Lee. Soule was born after the book was published. She married James Rutledge Henderson, Sr., of Charlotte, N.C., where they ran Henderson's School of Dance. Her parents Henry Lee of Winston-Salem, son of Charles Carter Lee, older brother of Gen. Robert Edw. Lee, St., CSA; and Lillian Elizabeth "Muttie" Woollen, the daughter of Old Salem, N.C., Confederate musician Sgt. James Anderson Woollen, CSA, and wife Susan Caroline Malcolm; daughter of musician Pvt. James Landreth Malcolm, CSA, and Elizabeth Page. "Muttie" reared her twenty years younger sister born 1885, Mrs. Ruby Valerie "Tee" Woollen Miller, my grandmother, of Old Salem; old original Wachovia Bank's first female employee, age 17, a steno-typist for founder Col. Fries. Widowed, Lillian wed L. E. Williford of Valdosta, Ga., and died Jacksonville, Fla.  From whence came Soule's, Soule name? James A. Miller Jr., Southport, N.C.
