In some of the databases Ohio is not covered, like the Church Records. And not all Counties are covered in all the databases, but it is worth a look. This is all information that has been donated by people like us.

Message Board Post:

About nine years ago, I placed a page on my web site entitled, "Ohio Geography":

http://dgmweb.net/genealogy/Ancillary/Geog/OH/OH-Cos.shtml

The page includes information about county formation, names of townships, towns, cities, and villages, and township maps, etc. Apparently, people have found the page useful because it has remained one of the most visited pages on my web site, along with a similar page for PA counties.

I'm posting to announce that I've just done a major update of the page, fixing broken links and adding new links. I hope you'll find the page more useful than ever.

This might be worth checking out. It covers more then Ohio, and not all of Ohio. But they seem to add to it from time to time. You never know what you might stumble across.

This is the virtual wall of all those lost during the Viet Nam war with the
names, bio's and other information on our lost comrades.

First click on a state.......when it opens scroll down to the city...
the names will appear .......then click on name ...... will show you
his bio and medals and sometimes a picture of the person.
You can even search by last name if you don't know their home town.

I found another bunch of records on the LDS site that might be of help to someone.

They now have Ohio marriages from 1800- 1958. You can get there this way:
http://www.familysearch.org
then click on 'Search Records' you will get a drop down menu, on that
click on 'Record Search Pilot'.

When you get to the site click on Search or Bowers Our record
Collection. On the page it takes you to click on North America on the
map. It will give you a long list just go down to Ohio Marriages.

There are no images but there is transcribed info.
