I have traced him back to his parents, Adam Stillwagon b abt 1818 and Nancy b abt 1830, I don't know her surname. Their children according to the 1860 census were Mary b 1851, Jacob, b 1853, John b 1854, Isaac b 1858 and Robert b 1859. birth years calculated according to their ages on the cnesus. My Curtis was not born until about 1861.
I believe his grandparents were Jacob b1782 and possibly his grandmother mother was named Mary, but i have no real prrof of this, if these are his grand parents then his aunts and uncles were likely Mary b 1812, who married a David Porter, Jacob, b 1814 married to Eliza, and William b 1815 married to a Margret,
Curtis died in april of 1926 I believe he may have died in Washington or Oregon. I obtained his death date from his military records. His body was sent to a Leslie W Stillwagon in Harrisburg Pa.
Curtis had a child named Leslie but he would have been too young to have been the one to recieve the body and the son Leslie was born in King Co Washington in 1910.
Curtis married Emma Amelia Schultz in 1909 in Victoria BC, They lived in King county Washington in 1910 and in 1920, they were on the census, on the records it says he was divorced at the time of his death. I have more information about this couple but I am interested in the Stillwagon family when they were back in Pa.
