The sussex weald website might be worth a look for anyone looking for ancestors in that part of the county www.sussesweald.org. I have found it useful when looking for my Brooker ancestry from around East Grinstead

Hello Board! My Sussex connection is through the REED name of Lewes, Brighton and Jevington areas. Samuel Reed 1795 -1857 married Susanna Russell 1806 -?. They had 12 children so there must be lots of relatives out their to find!

I have a REEVES in my family tree, do you think there may be a link?

Thomas Henry REEVES son of James REEVES born abt 1870 Staplefield? Sussex, married my paternal ancestor Bessie HOOKER.

Samuel REEVES and his wife Charlotte Martha nee Kemp left the London Docks 15NOV1823 on the Ship HEROINE and arrived in Tasmania, Australia 15APR1824. This family lived at Gordon Plains now the area where Evandale is, Red Hills, and then Circular Head/Stanley with Woolnorth until the whole family came to South Australia c1839. I am a decendant of Julianna Stirling Reeves (1835-1889) their 11th child.

My main research is the BOXALL (and Variants) One Name Study World Wide and I have set up a group here http://www.genealogywise.com/group/boxallandvariantsonenamestudyworldwide
for those who are interested. My own link to the BOXALLs are with the West Dean / Singleton family. I also have a Petersfield CARPENTER connection; plus TARGETT and PITT.

I am interested in finding out more about Willingdon Station/Hampden Park Station and Sheffield Park Station.
One of my Sellwoods, Stephen William Henry, was stationmaster at both. I know the latter is now part of the Bluebell line, but I am keen to learn about the history of both. Any pointers, anyone, as to where to go for information?
