My Szatkowski family came to the US in May 1872, initially settling in Milwaukee, WI. In the 1890s they moved to a farm in Posen, Presque Isle County, Michigan and much of the family remains in the area today. The earliest record I have been able to locate is the 1835 marriage of my 2nd great grandparents, Benedict Szatkowski and Marianna Spychalonka, in Chelmce Strzelno, Poznan, Poland.
My Szatkowski paternal Haplogroup is I2a2b.
