I'm looking for two lines. The first I haven't proven is a direct relation but my instincts tell me they are. The first is

Champness "Champ" Taylor

1764–1845

BIRTH 1764  Albermarle Co, VA

DEATH ABT 1845  Falls, Pickens Co, SC

He was living in Pendleton District, SC beginning with the 1800 census as well as 1810. In 1830 he was listed in Pickens County, South Carolina. I'm trying to find his parents or descendants to try to tie him into my line.

My line is

Levi Taylor

1807–1889

BIRTH 21 AUG 1807  Newberry Co., SC

DEATH 20 NOV 1889  Liberty, Pickens, SC, US

I've hit a dead end because ALL information online is incorrect. He may have been born in Pickens County instead of Newberry. A lot of records tie him into being the son of John Abraham Taylor and Mary Ann Prysock but that's a different Levi Taylor who is buried in Fayette County, Alabama. I can't get anyone to change their mistake even though census records show the son on John and Mary in Fayette County as early as 1830 and he was born in 1805. MY Levi Taylor is buried at Ruhama Baptist Church in Liberty, Pickens County, SC. I've hit a dead end because of all of the mistakes and have been researching this since 1974 with no luck.
I'm getting older and would love to end this mystery before I die.
