My maternal grandmother was born to Samuel Cleveland Taylor and Debby Cato Taylor on 23 December 1887 or 1888. I have traced her line back to Daniel (or John Daniel) Taylor in Perry County Indiana. I know Daniel was born in Kentucky but have yet to locate the county. All of Daniel's children were born in Kentucky except the oldest, Nathan, born circa 1790. I suspect they migrated from Virginia. I would like to share information with anyone working on or interested in this line.

My great great grandfather was Toliver Taylor who lived in Anderson SC and was killed in the civil war in Franklin Tenn. He had nine children that have decendents everywhere. He was definately a decendent of the first Zachary Taylor but what line is disputed and I would like to talk to anyone who knows about the family

William, it might be helpful if you used FTDNA and submitted a DNA kit to help determine ancestors. I belong to the Taylor group and this might be helpful for tracking your ancestors. Edie
