Thornhill

I am not an expert researcher of Thornhill, but it is a very interesting family to research. It is an old family name, so there are many different lines existing today, some with different spellings. This group is open to all researching Thornhill by any spelling.

Several years ago I began a project to research the descendants of William Thornhill, Sr., of Bedford, Virginia. This research was posted at AOL Hometown blog, which was closed last year by AOL. I have saved the research. Some of this research was contributed by other descendants of William. My g.g.grandmother was Julia Thornhill, grandaughter of William's son James. I have done limited research on William's ancestors, but I have some information researched by others. He lived Culpeper, Virginia before Bedford.
