My Turner’s have been very elusive. I am beginning to wonder if space aliens are really true and think they dropped my ggf, George William Turner, in St. Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri and said, “So long, sucker.”

O.K. maybe not, but he doesn’t have any parent’s that I can find. My grandfather never knew his grandparents and George’s death cert., filled out by his daughter, states unk for the parents.

I know there are many Turners out in the genealogy field, searching diligently to find their roots. I am hoping this forum will help us all in finding our elusive ancestors.

I have Turners from that area too! I don't know if there is a connection, but my gggf was George E. Turner. His brother was Benjamin Biggs Turner. They were both butchers by trade and had a meat market in St. Joseph in the late 1800s. Their father was Adam Turner (1808-1854) who was born in Ohio and died in Jo Daviess Co. Illinois. I am searching for anyone who can uncover the parents of Adam Turner.
