Gilbert and Mary (Udell) Bates had moved to Wales Township, St. Clair County, MI by the 1860 US Census. They later moved to Tuscola County, MI. I'm not sure if any Udell/Udall family members moved with them.

I am searching for information on Mary Udell of Townsend Township, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. She how up in the 1851 Canadian census, married to Gilbert Bates. They had several children there and moved to Michigan round 1858.
Her parents were born in Canada as stated in subequent US censuses. I have also seen one newspaper reference of Mary Youdell married to Gilbert Bates, so I am not ure of the spelling. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for other Udell or Udalls. My grandfather was Jack Udell. His family is from the Battle Creek, Michigan area. The Udell/Udall line starts with Dr.Lionel Udall and Abigail Bill.
