II wrote an article about the, title Front and Center, on the Pennsylvania Grand Review Website. The article is about my ancestors who fought with the, United States Colored Troops, out of Lancaster Pennsylvania. It is an attempt to give a face to the men who served in the United States Colored Troops. Walter Samuel Pinn, was a Corporal in the 54th Massachusetts, USCT, Company B., beginning in 1863. He was the brother of my Maternal Great Grandmother, Louisa Pinn-Ruth. The others trained at Camp William Penn, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They all resided in Southeastern Pennsylvania when the Conflict started. I am pleased to announce that Pennsylvania is now honoring those who served in the United States Colored Troops (USCT).
Brothers Neighbors and Soldiers:
